Dr. Marilyn L. Flynn, Ed. D Community Meeting RoomBuild it. Test it. Break it. Rebuild it! Our Tween LEGO Challenge Program invites kids ages 9–12 to put their creativity and problem-solving skills to the test with fun, themed building challenges.
Get ready to design, build, and innovate at our Tween LEGO Challenge Program! Designed especially for ages 9–12, this hands-on program invites participants to explore creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork through exciting LEGO building challenges.
Each session features a unique theme—such as building the tallest tower, designing a futuristic city, creating a bridge that can hold weight, or inventing a new gadget. Tweens will plan their designs, experiment with different building techniques, test their creations, and refine their ideas. Along the way, they’ll strengthen STEM skills like engineering, problem-solving, and collaboration—all while having fun.
No prior LEGO experience is needed. The library provides all materials, and friendly staff will guide challenges and encourage imagination. Whether your child loves architecture, storytelling, or hands-on experimentation, this program offers a welcoming space to build confidence, make new friends, and discover what they can create—one brick at a time!
