Try to clean up a pretend oil spill using real tools! Learn about environmental science and sustainability in this hands-on STEM challenge for ages 7–12.

Become an environmental scientist for the day in our STEM Challenge: Oil Spill Cleanup! Participants ages 7–12 will face the challenge of removing an "oil spill" from water using real tools and creative problem-solving. As you try out different cleanup methods, we’ll discuss how this hands-on experiment connects to real-world environmental issues, sustainability efforts, and the importance of protecting our oceans. A book display on oil spills, ecology, and conservation will be available to deepen the learning experience.
