Travel back to the age of knights and castles! Learn about medieval life, then build and launch your own catapult and design a castle strong enough to withstand an attack. Ages 9 and up.
Homeschool STEM Build & Explore is a monthly program that combines hands-on STEM projects with cultural and historical learning. Each session gives homeschool students the chance to build, experiment, and create while exploring a new theme.
This month, we are traveling back to medieval times to discover what life was like inside castles and on the battlefield. Homeschoolers will learn about the clever inventions of the era, from towering fortresses to siege weapons, and then test their skills by building and launching their own mini catapults. They will also work to design a castle sturdy enough to stand up to an “attack,” practicing teamwork and engineering along the way.
Families are welcome to browse our free homeschool curriculum collection during the program to take home additional resources.
This program is for homeschool students ages 9 and up. Registration is encouraged to help us plan materials but is not required to attend. All supplies are provided.
