Weekly STEAM fun for homeschoolers ages 5-8. Explore, experiment, and build critical thinking skill through hands-on activities. This month's theme is Entomology - the study of bugs!
This weekly Homeschool STEAM Program invites young learners ages 5-8 to explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math through hands-on activities that will encourage kids to ask questions, make predictions, and build early problem solving skills in a fun and supportive environment. From simple experiments to creative building challenges, these activities are meant to spark curiosity and help children learn about their world.
This program is designed for ages 5-8, but preschool siblings are welcome to participate with parent assistance. We choose a theme each month. During the program, we work our wiggles out, we read a story relative to our topic, and we explore an experiment or create a work of art that relates to our topic. For families bringing younger siblings who aren't ready for the activities, a small play area with toys and coloring sheets will be available so everyone can enjoy their time at the library.
Registration is encouraged to help us plan materials but is not required to attend. All supplies are provided.
