Capture memories with a DIY time capsule! Celebrate back to school with fun family activities and discover helpful library tools for the year ahead.

Celebrate the start of a new school year with our Back to School Time Capsule event! Families are invited to the library to capture this moment in time by recording their child’s favorite things, current height, dreams for the year, and more. Each participant will create their own time capsule to take home and open at the beginning of the next school year—perfect for seeing how much they've grown and changed! This event is a joyful way to kick off the school year and build lasting memories. We’ll also share resources to support students and families, including library tools to help with homework, learning, and reading goals. Let’s welcome the school year together with fun, reflection, and excitement!
