Meeting RoomJoin us for an interactive STEM career exploration workshop designed to introduce you to the growing field of digital accessibility!
You will learn how accessibility professionals help ensure websites, mobile apps, software, gaming platforms, and other digital technologies are usable by people of all abilities. The workshop explores a variety of career opportunities, including Accessibility Tester, Accessibility Specialist, Accessibility Consultant, and Accessibility Program Manager, while highlighting industries that actively hire these professionals.
You'll find learning resources, tools, & volunteer opportunities for gaining hands-on experience, and practical first steps toward entering the field. This program is intended to raise awareness and inspire participants to explore careers in digital accessibility. It is not a certification course, job training program, or employment placement service.
About our Presenter:
Allison Woodley-Tyehimba is a Digital Accessibility Educator, Consultant, and Mentor with more than 20 years of experience in software quality assurance and accessibility. She is passionate about introducing underserved communities to careers in digital accessibility and inclusive technology.
